Troubleshooting

Gorilla Forms Troubleshooting Guide

Fast checks for the most common form, payment, email, embed and account problems.

Public form

A form will not open or submit

  • Confirm it is Published, not Draft.
  • Check Accept responses, scheduled dates and Maximum responses.
  • Enter the correct form password where enabled.
  • Complete every required visible question.
  • Test logic routes for unreachable required fields.
  • For payment forms, complete the provider checkout and return flow.

Payments

Payment collection is disabled

Complete PayPal or Stripe setup under Payments. Stripe must report that onboarding is ready. Add at least one Product field before enabling Collect payment. Confirm each product uses Name | Price and includes a valid numeric price.

Email

A notification or automation did not arrive

Check spam, the account/fixed address and the answer in any Email recipient field. Confirm the automation is Active and that a fresh response matches its exact condition. Review the rule’s sent and failed counters. “Email every response” only sends to the account email and is independent of automation rules.

Embedding

An embedded form is blank or the wrong height

Copy the complete current embed code after publishing. Paste both the iframe and resizing script into a Custom HTML area. Confirm the host platform permits iframes and JavaScript, and that security or cookie tools are not blocking gorillaforms.uk. Clear the page cache after replacing code.

Results

Analytics or results are empty

Preview activity is not a substitute for public traffic. Open the published URL, interact and submit a test. Funnel panels require tracked views; response panels require completed submissions. New responses may require Gorilla AI insights to be refreshed.

Plan access

A feature is locked or a limit was reached

Conversational display, logic and automations start on Standard. Logo branding and tracked QR codes require Pro or Enterprise. When an hourly AI allowance is exhausted, wait for its window to reset. For form limits, delete an unneeded form, change plan or ask admin whether an override is appropriate.
