A complete WordPress workspace
Gorilla Forms brings the useful parts of your account into the familiar WordPress administration area. Publish a form on any page, make common edits, inspect submissions, assign follow-up work and export records while your form data remains securely managed by Gorilla Forms.
New unified dashboard
Version 2.0 makes the Gorilla Forms dashboard the plugin landing page, combining account activity and direct actions in one responsive workspace.
See forms, published forms, all responses, recent responses and successfully processed payment value.
A lightweight 30-day chart shows daily response activity without loading an external analytics library.
Compare all-time and 30-day response totals, see the latest activity and jump directly to editing or responses.
Recent responses display their local workflow state and payment value with a direct link to the full record.
New, In Progress, Complete and Archived totals make outstanding follow-up work immediately visible.
Monitor total and active rules, successful and failed runs, plus the latest execution results.
New in version 1.9
Start with a blank draft or search the Gorilla Forms template library from the WordPress administration area.
Enter a title and description in WordPress, then add common questions immediately in the built-in editor.
Search template names and descriptions or filter the alphabetically organised library by category.
Inspect question types, required fields, help text and answer choices before selecting a template.
A selected template is copied into the connected account as a separate draft that can be changed freely.
The current plan and form usage are shown in WordPress, and account limits are enforced securely by Gorilla Forms.
Complex fields from templates remain intact and can be refined using the complete Gorilla Forms builder.
Add forms anywhere
Choose a published form and place it on your site using Gutenberg, Elementor, a shortcode or a native WordPress display.
Insert the Gorilla Form block, select from published forms and see a safe live preview while editing the page.
Drag the Gorilla Form widget onto a page and configure it from Elementor’s normal controls.
Use the built-in generator to create and copy the correct shortcode without remembering form IDs or parameters.
Manage your forms
Search the account’s forms, filter the list and update common settings without opening another browser tab.
View your connected form library with clear status information.
Update frequently changed form details directly from the WordPress administration area.
Add, edit, reorder or remove commonly used questions. Advanced fields remain available through the full builder.
Review responses
Search, filter, compare and export submissions from WordPress. Each WordPress user’s layout, columns and active filters are remembered.
Open responses in an expandable list or use a dedicated page when you need to focus on one reply.
Compare responses side by side, choose and reorder question columns, resize them and update workflow details inline.
Save reusable response views and export records using the active search and date filters.
Response workflow
Turn a form submission into an actionable record for the people who manage your WordPress website.
Mark responses as New, In progress, Complete or Archived, then filter the current page by status.
Assign submissions to eligible WordPress users, filter by assignee and update several selected responses together.
Add timestamped staff notes to individual responses without exposing them to the respondent.
Enable response email notifications and see new-response indicators in the WordPress administration menu.
Select several responses from the list or grid and update their status or assignment in one action.
Developers can listen for the gorilla_forms_response_received action to start their own WordPress integrations.
New in version 1.8
Create secure automation rules that run for every response or only when a mapped answer meets your condition.
Map email, username and name questions to a new WordPress user. Privileged administration roles are deliberately unavailable.
Map response answers to a post title and body. Automated content is restricted to Draft or Pending Review.
Choose a product and map quantity and customer details. Orders remain on hold until payment is independently verified.
Send structured response JSON with an encrypted secret, SHA-256 signature and unique delivery identifier.
Compare any mapped answer using equals, not equal, contains, empty and non-empty rules, with smart choice suggestions.
Review the latest 250 runs, prevent duplicate successes, retry failures automatically up to three times or retry manually.
Display and access controls
Control how and when an embedded form appears without creating separate WordPress pages for every audience.
The secure iframe display supports advanced forms while keeping the form visually separated from theme conflicts.
Compatible standard forms can render natively. Forms using advanced features automatically fall back to the secure embed.
Show a form to everyone, logged-in visitors, logged-out visitors or selected WordPress roles.
Optionally set a date and time for the form to appear and another for it to be hidden.
Native forms use server-side validation, required-field checks and a hidden spam trap before submission.
Administrators can allow editors to insert published forms without granting access to responses, connection settings or account controls.
Connection, health and updates
The plugin connects through a dedicated authorisation flow and gives administrators clear tools for checking its health.
Choose Connect Gorilla Forms, sign in and approve the website. Connected sites can later be reviewed and revoked from your account.
Test the account connection on demand and receive an understandable notice if authorisation expires or needs attention.
Review connectivity, scheduled response checks and secure update availability alongside WordPress’s normal diagnostics.
Site Health shows plugin status and capability information while deliberately excluding connection tokens and form responses.
WordPress can detect and install new Gorilla Forms versions automatically. Downloaded packages are checked against their published fingerprint.
Response management, form editing and account settings remain limited to WordPress administrators.
